Questions

About haematology.

What if the bag and patient do not match?

The scan shows a stop warning, and the transfusion cannot be recorded until it is fixed.

Can regular transfusion patients be planned?

Yes. Their visits are booked in day care, with past units in their record.

Is blood billed correctly?

Each unit and the cross-match charge are added to the bill when the blood is issued.
